(From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, Sept. 21. Mrs C. H. Symons, Lady’s Mile, Foxton, has recoived an acknowledgment of her congratulatory message to Mrs E. R. McCombs on being the first woman to bo elected a member io£ Parliament in New Zealand! On Mrs Symons taking her seat as the first woman member of the Anglican Synod in New Zealand, she was the recipient of numerous congratulatory messages from women's organisations, including the National Council of Women and Women’s Forum, from Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington and England, and the Bishop of Wellington then predicted that it was the first step towards women entering Parliament.
