OFFICIAL OPENING CEREMONYINVITATION TO LORD BLEDISLOE The Manawatu A. and P. Association to-day decided to invite His Excellency the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, to open officially the Spring Show fixture at Palmerston North early in November. Replies to invitations to attend the Show were received from members of the Cabinet. Tho Minister of Finance (Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates) intimated that he would like to be present, but it might be difficult, as the House would probably be. in session. Hons. E. A. Ransom (Minister of Lands), A. Hamilton (Postmaster-General), C. E. Macmillan (Minister of Agriculture), J. A. Young (Minister of Health) and Sir Apirana Ngata (Minister of Native Affairs) wrote stating that they would be pleased to attend if their other public engagements permitted.
