MANAWATU LADIES v. SHANNON. Members of the Manawatu Ladies’ Golf Club journeyed to Shannon yesterday and engaged in a friendly match with a Shannon team. After interesting play Shannon secured five wins to Manawatu’s' three. The following are the details:—Mrs McDowell lost to Mrs Morgan, Miss Wason lost to Mrs Long, Mrs Gabriel halved with Mrs Moynihan. Mrs Billons beat Miss Stern, Mrs Stevens halved with Mrs Ventry-Smith, Miss McFarlane lost to Mrs Mark, Mrs Wingate beat Mrs Cronquest, Miss Garner beat Miss Easton, Mrs Buxton lost to Mrs Easton, Mrs Kirk lost to Miss Picard. Shannon 5 wins, Manawatu 3 wins; halved 2.
