RECOVERY FRUITS.

CHILD WORKERS RELEASED

NEW YORK, Sept. 12. As au instance of the benefits of the National Recovery Act in New York, it is estimated that the million or so children returning to school six months ago would to-day be augmented by 20,000 child workers released from industry. What some observers interpreted as a slowing down of re-employment in. business generally was met by a statement by Mr Green, president of the Federation of Labour, who issued a warning against further modification of the Recovery Act regarding labour contracts, and demanded evej/i shorter working hours. Mr Donald Ricliberg, National Recovery Act counsel, declared that unless there was a better understanding on the labour provisions “war between the various groups of employers and employees would involve all the people of America.”
