LAWN TENNIS
TERRACE END CLUB. The annual meeting of the Terrace End. Tennis Club was held last evening, Mr J. M. Gordon presiding. The chairman extended a cordial welcome to all present, and stressed the tact that the subscriptions had been reduced for this season. Several apologies for absence were received, and a number of new members elected. Officers for the ensuing year were chosen as follow: —Club captain, Mr C. Spelman ; management committee, Misses Pitt, J. Litchfield, Messrs D. Glendinning, K. Snell, R. Higgins, C. Isaacs and A. Brown; lion, secretary, Mr M. Scott. It-was decided to nominate two B grade teams for the Saturday competition and an A team for the Wednesday competition. Miss Pitt and Mr I<\ McLachlan were appointed the selectors, a.nd the latter was re-ap-pointed delegate to the Manawatu Lawn Tennis Association.
A strong social committee was appointed as follows: —Mrs Brown, Misses J. Litchfield, E. Moffatt, J. Blackwood, Isaacs, M. Richards, Messrs D. Higgins, W. Miller, Brown and R. Trass.
