MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE.

Per Press Association. WHANGAREI, Sept. 12. Consequent on the fatal injuries received by Airs Eunice Emily Alary Gordon, a passenger in a car which collieded with a train on the Kamo Road level crossing on August 2, a verdict was returned at the inquest that her subsequent death in hospital was due to a fracture of the skull and laceration of the brain.

The car driver, Warwick Ruysdael Claris, a farmer of Mania, and brother of deceased, has been charged with manslaughter, in that, by negligent driving, he caused the death of Airs Gordon. Fie pleaded not guilty and was committed by two Justices of the Peace for trial at the Supreme Court at Auckland. Bail was fixed at £IOO.
