ATLANTIC FLIGHT.
MR ULM’S PREPARATIONS.
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Sept. 9. Mr C. T. P. Ulm, the Australian airman, and three companions left Woodford (Cheshire) Aerodrome to-day for Heston, Middlesex, before going to Baldonnel, Ireland, in readiness for their Atlantic flight. Mr Ulm will take off from Port Mar. nock beach, where an accident marred his previous attempt on July 27.
EXERCISING CARE
Received September 12, 9.50 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 11. Mr Ulm will remain in London pending Mr P. G. Taylor’s report on the condition of Port Marnock sands and whether they are suitable for a take-off for the heavily laden Faith in Australia.
