THE CITIZENS’ COMMITTEE.

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —Three weeks have now elapsed since the Manawatu-Oroua Power Board decided to put their special rate on this city. Where is the Citizens’ Committee? Is it hibernating till next election, when it will blazon forth in opposition to my colleagues and myself to keep us off the local bodies within tlic city? Surely if there is an 5' civic spirit within that concern here is an opportunity for displaying it;—Yours, etc., J. HODGENS.
