FRENCH MINISTER’S DEATH.
M. GEORGES LEYGUES.
PARIS, Sept. 2
The death is announced of M. Georges Leygues, Minister of Marine.
M. Leygues, a Radical of the Clemenceau school, and a faithful coadjutor of the late “Tiger,” has been Minister of Marine almost as often as M. Briand was Minister of Foreign Affairs. M. Leygues claimed to be an Anglophile, but jealously safeguarded tha naval prestige of France.
