MARINE COLLISION.
SINKING OF STEAMER.
Received September 4, 8.10 a.m. NEWPORT NEWS, Sept. 3.
The steamship Cold Water, en route from Savanna to London, was struck by the Dollar Line vessel President Wilson and sank off Cape Lookout on the Carolina Coast.
The courage of Captain West of the Cold Water saved the crew of 35, including a woman passenger arid her two small daughters.
