CRICKET FEAT.
HAMMOND’S BATTING. RECORD
Received September 4, 9.20 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 3. In the course of a great innings at Folkestone, Hammond became the first batsman in 1933 to exceed 3000 runs, which is also his own highest aggregate. Testimony to the remarkably fine season was abounding in the fast wickets and outfields.
Fourteen others have already exceeded 2000 runs.
