NELSON, Sept. 3. Tn an inter-island hockey match played on Saturday afternoon in perfect weather and before a large attendance, the teams left the field with honours even —two all. For , North, Hinton, Teague, Bay and Philpotts wore prominent, and for tho Booth Hanning, Hunter, Jones and Rennick. As a'curtain-raiser Auckland met Nelson and won by 4 to 1 after a somewhat- uninteresting display.
