NEW LAP RECORD,

Received June 13, 8.50 a.m. LONDON, June 12. Stanley Woods, riding a Norton, won the Junior Tourist Trophy at the Isle of Man over a 264 mile course at an average speed of 78.08 miles per hour. Hunt, on a Norton, was second and Guthrie, on a Norton, third. Woods broke the lap record, covering the sixth lap at an average speed of 79.22 miles per hour. Moses, New Zealand, finished sixteenth. Twenty-seven competitors started.

Woods also won the trophy’ last year. '
