GAMING ACT BREACHES,

WELLINGTON, June 13

Three Chinese, charged with keeping their premises as common gaming houses, were to-day fined £4O each by Mr E. Page, S.M., who remarked that four or five Chinese were before the Court a few weeks ago. l’aknpoo operations seemed to have reached fairly substantial proportions and he thought that substantial penalties would have to be imposed. Three others were each fined £3 each for being found in common gaming houses.
