SPANISH ROYALIST PLOT. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received May 9, 1.50 p.m. MADRID, May 8. The discovery of the plot against the Government was due to the chance arrest of a jewel thief. The movement depended on the collaboration of troops in Basque province, whero religious issues had created unrest, Barcelona, Valladolid and Valencia being expected to assist. It was to bo a bloodless rebellion, exiling tlio Cabinet to make room for a Riglit Wing majority and possibly to restore the Monarchy. Widespread precautions are being taken, particularly -in view of the prospects of a large Syndicalist strike.
