LONGBURN.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) LONGBURN, May 8. Mr and Mrs C. C. Hills entertained a number of their friends at a most enjoyable party on Saturday evening. The time was spent with dancing, competitions and community singing, competitions being won by Miss D. Berryman and Mr J. Paul. A dainty supper was served, including a beautiful cake in honour of Mr E. Jeweli’s birthday. Those present were : —Mrs C. C. Hills, Misses L. and E. Hills, L. and J. Campbell, R. Birch, N. Blundell, T. Lemberg, U. Chamberlain, C. Rowland, V. and D. Berryman, J. Shirriffs, J. Campbell, Mrs Godfrey, Messrs C. and L. Hills, W. Aldersley, C. Shirriffs, T. Jordan, J. Croll, R. Hill, D. Biel, H. Mabey, E. Walker, E. Jewell. J. and F. Hearsey, J. Paul, R. Duncalf. Mr A. Barnett, who is an inmate of a private hospital, is progressing favourably.
