AUTOGIRO’S SUCCESS.
DEMONSTRATION TO AIR MINISTRY. LONDON, May 5. The Daily Express' says that Senor Cierva, during an autogiro demonstration, astonished Air Ministry officials. Taking off after a run of under five yards, the autogiro hovered at a height of 100 foet, then flew at a speed of 100 miles an , hour. When throttled the autogiro dropped vertically to about twelve feet from the ground, and when the engine was opened out continued its flight.
