The Yorkshire Post understands that the Dominion representatives on the Empire Consultative Committee rejected the British suggestion that the Dominions share the cost of maintaining the Empire Marketing Board, 1 Relieving that it has outlived its usefulness. Anticipating the committee’s recommendation to close the Board on September 30, much of the work has already been curtailed. The lease of the London quarantine 6tation, which is jointly managed by the Marketing Board and the Royal Agricultural Society and from which livestock is exported to the Dominions, has been renewed until September 30. STATEMENT DISCOUNTED. Received April 5, 11.25 a.m. LONDON, April 4. A high Australian authority discounts the statement that the Dominions refused to financially support the Empire Marketing Board.
