HAWKE CUP MATCH.
Per Press Association. NELSON, Feb. 10. The Hawke Cup match between Nelson, the holders, v. West Coast commenced to-day. The challengers won the toss and batted, but were all out at lunch time for the small score of 83 Freeman, 5 for 19, and A. Newman, 4 for 12, were the destroying agents. Norris 28 and McLaughlin 20 were the top scorers for West Coast. Nelson at 2.30 had scored 45 without the loss of a wicket.
