Y.A.L. .BAND. RETURN CONCERTS. The tour of the Dominion of the Y.A.L. Band has been extended a week, and lias, enabled the organisers to make a return visit to Palmerston North, remembering the enthusiastic reception that they received here. Nowhere in the Dominion have they been moro cordially received. The hosts where these boys were billeted, without exception, have stated that the conduct of tlicir guests was beyond reproach, and so after a most successful tour of the South Island they return for their last week in Now Zealand, leaving Auckland for Sydney on February 17. At ncany every town visited so great was the demand for scats that hundreds wero turned away. The programme to bo presented on their return visit will contain many new items, as well an some of tho old favourites. At any requests have been received for presentation ot tlicir most popular numbers of their original programme, and where possible these requests will bo complied with. In Christchurch the Y.A.L. boys assisted tiio local band which intends going to the Dunedin band content, at a concert in the public gardens, where they performed a. most spectacular march. It was estimated that at least from 10.000 to 12,000 people attended. Tho hoys will arrive in Palmerston North at 10.50 a.m. on Saturday morning and .will put on a matinee at 2.20 and a concert at night at 8 o’clock in tho Opera House. Prices have been reduced to 2s and Is; children half-price except to Is scats. At the matinee the children will be admitted half-price to all seats. Intending patrons arc recommended to book their seats. PICTURE THEATRES. Tho all-Australian comedy. “On Our Selection,” at the_ Regent Theatre; return season of “Viennese Nights” at the Palace Theatre; “After tho Rain,” at tho Kosy Theatre.
