MILSON.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) AIILSOX, Feb. 8. The railway picnic which was postponed from Sunday last will now be held at Ballance bridge on Sunday, February 19th. All arrangements previously made will hold good and the public will be duly notified of all particulars through the advertising columns of the “Standard.”

Airs F. Grigg. of Cambridge Street, is at present confined to bed owing to an accident. Whilst standing on a chair. Airs Grigg slipped and a projecting nail pierced her leg to the bone, making a wound several inches long and necessitating the insertion of five stitches. Air H. Dewhurst, of the local railways staff, is at present relieving the signalman at Longburn. Airs A. S. C. Franklyn, of Leeds Street, who has been attending the Show at Dannevirke. has returned home.
