TOO TIRED AND LISTLESS. Do you feel tired ? In fact, very tired and always tired ? If that is so, and you are also troubled with headaches, backaches, poor appetite, restlessness and lack of ambition, it is probable that you have used up too much nervous energy. The consequence is your nerves are starved and irritated. Nerves that have been weakened and shattered by too much work, anxiety or grief can be restored through the blood. Good, rich blood feeds the nerves with the nourishment they require, and to build up and enrich your blood you have only to take Dr. Williams’ Pink Pills. These pills have helped thousands and thousands of people to regain steady nerves, greater vitality and confidence in their outlook on life. The reason for that is this: Dr. Williams’ Pink Pills are a blood-creating, blood-en-riclring tonic, and their action throughout the system is .powerfully revitalising. You have only to take them for a short time to notice the wonderful effect they have on your appetite, digestion and nerves. Of chemists and stores. Say "Dr. Williams’ ” —and take no other. —Advt.

u It’s Never Too Hot ?? in our Says Pamela from P.D.C. f<? : n, si m Hi Tho’ the sun may be shining- ever so brightly and the temperature up in the uncomfortable eighties and nineties, you’ll revel in the airiness of our big store for the temperature is 20 , degrees cooler than in the street—every minute 11,000 cubic feet of stale air is sucked out thru ’ each of the two powerful electric fans in our ceiling and more and more fresh air keeps rushing in. It’s easy to dress, too, for those glorious sunny days, and even tho’ the heat is a trifle trying we’ve cool linens and cooler silks to help us—and the anticipation of a splash in the river at the day’s end. But what of the equally hot days when there is no sun but the same old heat intensified by drizzling rain which makes the air humid and the atmosphere heavy and sultry—! P.D.C. is just as cool and pleasant a place to shop in, and now I’m going to tell you something pleasant to shop for—Raincoats! But these are raincoats with a difference-—not the smelly rubbery things of a season or so ago, only worn because the aay was wet and one had to wear something waterproof. Some of our’s can hardly be recognised as waterproofs—they’re so slinky and smart and serviceable and not a bit 'spensive, and they really do fill the need of the damp hot days and are so light and easy to carry should the sun peep forth. One particularly nice style is cut on dashing military lines—double breasted with wide peaned revers—and as an added touch of smartness has tiny pipings of white on the collar and pockets and down the front. In new rust it is unbelievably smart, but there is a lovely B/ f§l|§ shade of navy too, and brown, and green. The price <§ fpf amazed me—only. 12/6—and you’ll be amazed too when you see the coat. Real Leather is not within the reach of most of our purses—altho’ I did notice a stunning brown leather coat for 65/-, reasonable isn’t it?—but an intriguing- substitute has been devis<xi for us-in the shape of leatherette. . In appearance coats of this material so closely resemble the real thing that for a moment I was tricked inti thinking that it was. The ticket on it for only 29/6 had puzzled me tho’ and only a closer investigation enlightened me. These coats are ever so smartly cut and can be had in either brown or wine—they’re more winter weight with their cosy wool lining, but after all, winter isn’t so very far away is it? French Berets are just the thing to pull down ever that marcel or water wave as a protection from the elements, and the Millinery Salon is well stocked with all shades in these useful little ’ affairs—and the price—2/6! Perms are a boon aren’t they?—there’s no need to worry over one’s hair'then. I was always a little scared of perms—altho’ I didn’t dare admit it—but this new MacDonald System has won me over entirely, it’s absolutely luxurious and the results are perfect. One can laugh at the wind and rain. And it’s a marvellous feeling to play around in the sea knowing that even a' ducking can’t make one hopelessly bedraggled. Our expert operators coax the hair into beautifully soft and natural waves, and no amount of washing and brushing will diminish the lustre that comes from their careful treatment. Since we reduced our charges for MacDonald and Eugene permanent it .i-l '// m's IS •waving to £2 and 30/- respectively our Beauty Salon has been kept so busy with orders that it lias been necessary at times to delay our services to clients at the moment when they were required. ’Phone 5456 for appointments and you will be delighted at the result. Pop In To P.S. P.D.C Chubby Umbrellas—an amazing line at an amazing price—3/11! Strong black covers and a selection of attractive handles—one of the I greatest bargains we’ve had in years.
