JUST IN TIME.

GETTING RID OF SOCIALISTS. LONDON, Jan. 26. Speaking at the Devonshire Club, Mr W. Runciman, President of the Board of Trade, declared that Australia was struggling to emerge from the mess the Socialists had' placed her in a year ago. The Socialist Government had indulged in every political heresy and tried almost every shibboleth and catchword, bringing the nation to the verge of ruin. “Thank God,” he exclaimed, “the people ridded themselves o.f the Socialists, like Britain. It was only just in time in both cases.”
