NORTHERLY AVINDS. Per Press Association. AVELLINTON, Jan. 26. Pressure has fallen slightly over the Tasman Ssa and~New Zealand so that the anti-cyclone, which has controlled the weather for the past few days, has lost intensity. At the same time the depression in South-Eastern Australia has deepened and appears to be moving slowly eastward. Light to moderate and ' variable winds, but nortlierlies gradually predominating and freshening; weather fair to fine and warm. MANAAVATU RJ\ 7 ER GAUGE. Noon.—lft.
