GREAT SPEED ATTAINED

Received December 20, 10.20 a.m. BERLIN, Dec. 19,

A streamlined train driven by two 140 horse power Diesel engines covered the 180 miles between Berlin and Hamburg at an average speed of 76 miles per hour. The train ’consists of a double coach accommodating 102 passengers. Not even a door-knob protrudes from the sides while the rounded front gives a torpedo like appearance.
