SUIT AGAINST SINGER.

PROPOSED CONCERT TOUR. SYDNEY, Dec. 16. In the Supremo Court Donald Dhu O’Connor, of Auckland, sued John Brownlee, operatic singer, to recover £514 12s damages for alleged breach of contract.

Plaintiff claimed that this amount covered his engagement as defendant’s manager for a concert tour of Australia and New Zealand and the money was outstanding. Defendant denied the contract and also the breach and alleged failure by the plaintiff to state proper accounts.

The jury found for plaintiff and awarded him £174 12s damages.
