DEATH OF BOY.

ACCIDENT NEAR WAITUNA. Following upon injuries which he received a fortnight ago when he was struck in an accident with a cyclist in Davis’s cutting, near Waituna, John Thomas McCoughern, aged 16, a son of Mrs T. McCoughern, of Feilding, and grandson of Mrs F. Eggers, of Wuituna, succumbod in the Palmerston North Hospital last evening. Deceased sustained his injuries when, with a companion, he was walking up the incline in Davis’s cutting, when a collision occurred with a cyclist, coming down the hill. Deceased received the full force of the impact and sustained severe concussion.
