CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR SOCIETY.

On Thursday last, the Palmerston North Baptist Christian Endeavour Society spent a most interesting and inspiring evening in the discussion of “Youth Campaigns.” Special speakers had been asked to discourse on various aspects of this subject. The first speaker, Pastor Wesley Richards, spoke on “Is this city in need of a youth campaign?—if so, why and when? How could one be conducted?” Mr Richards brought out some good thoughts on this aspect, emphasising the necessity of a campaign. The second speaker. Rev. A. N. Scotter 8.A., dealt with “What would be the’ obligatory effects of a youth campaign?” In speaking of this, Mr Scotter° stressed the point of individual Christianity. . The next aspect discussed by Ensign Thorne was: “What is a youth campaign and for what purpose?” Ensign Thorne considered that a youth campaign was for the purpose of bringing the young people of the city to live a noble Christian life and also for the unity of Christians. These talks proved most helpful and it is hoped that further interest will bo shown with regard to youth campaigns. At the close a vote of thanks to the speakers was expressed by Mr Leslie Rushbrook.
