Tho Manawatu Autcmobilo Association is arranging an outing for Palmerston North orphanage children on Wednesday next, the location of tho picnic being tho Ashhurst Domain. Tho association is appealing for cars to assist in tho transport of tho children. No effort is being spared to inako tho day a happy and memorable one. As requests to repeat the Convent concert have been numerous, tho Sisters have decided to hold a matinee in the Opera House on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m., when the charge to all parts of the houso will be a shilling with children half-price. Those who have not heard and seen tho clever Convent performers should noj, miss this opportunity of being entertained. Sweets will bo on sale at the theatre.
