ALLEGED BESETTING
REMAND GRANTED. Before Mr A. J. Graham, J.P., at the Magistrate’s Court this morning, Eric Purchas Anthony, aged 30 years, appeared on remand, when two further charges were presented: (1) That on December 8, with a view to compelling freezing workers to abstain from proceeding to work, he did unlawfully beset and watch them; and (2) that on the same date ho did use obscene language on the Longburn-Foxton main road. On the application of Senior-Ser-geant Whitehouse, a remand till Monday—when other charges of besetting will be heard —was granted. Bail was allowed on the same sureties as previously.
