Traffic receipts on British railways are decreasing heavily, the total for the four groups last year being £157,000,000, as compared with £181,000,000 in the previous year. Plymouth lifeboat returned early one morning recently, with the crew of three of the ketch, Millom Castle, which was abandoned waterlogged during a gale in the Channel.
