CYCLONIC STORM

DAMAGE IN QUEENSLAND. BUILDINGS UNROOFED. COMMUNICATIONS DISLOCATED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received December 9, 9.30 a.m. BRISBANE, Dec. 9. Severe damage was caused by a cyclonic storm in the Rockhampton district. A mixed goods train was standing at tho Oooneol station, when six carriages' were blown over. Fifteen passengers were on the train, but only three were injured. The railway offices and the Commonwealth Bank were unroofed and many houses were damaged. Crops were ruined and stock were killed. All the local telegraph and telephone lines are down.
