ENTERTAINMENTS
“His Royal Highness,” which will open at the Regent Theatre to-morrow afternoon, is a typical CJoorgo Wallace comedy, with the comedian figuring first as a stagehand in a theatre, and later as the king of a mythical kingdom in Europe. In thiscapacity ho finds plenty of opportunity for lively burlesque comedy. The east includes Marshall Crosby. Uyrl Walkley, Lou Vernon and Donalda Wurnc. The (supporting programme is composed entirely of Australian featurettes of a high standard.
At the change of programme at the Kosy Theatre to-morrow Buck Jones's latest picturo, “Border Law,” will be shown. In this Jones plays the part of a ranger who rc-signfi his position in order to bring to hook a gang of lawless raiders. Exceptionally good short -subjects include a travelogue, a comedy, cartoon and a “Curiosities” number.
Wynne Gibson attains stellar prominence in the role of Clara Deane, in the picture drama, “The Strange Case of Clara Deane,” coining to the Palace Theatre, tomorrow afternoon. One of the most, roveted parts in filrndom. it is of tho same calibre a« the feminine lead in “Madam X.” “1 he Sin of Madelon Claudet” and “Sarah and Son.” Within a single year Mies Gibson has risen from minor parts to featured roles. The programme includes some excellent short items.
