FULL COURT.

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Dec. 9. The Full Court, consisting of the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers) and Justices Reecl and MacGregor, is hearing an application made on behalf of Richard Francis Griffin, of Wellington, for a rule nisi calling on the gaoler of the Mount Crawford prison to show cause why a writ of habeas corpus should not be issued. ordering him bring up the body of Griffin from custody’ or, alternatively, why Gnffin should not bo discharged from custody without the writ actually issuing. Griffin, earlier in tho year, with some others was .sentenced to a term of reformative detention for offences in connection with the issue of the Red Worker On appeal, tho sentence was, by Mr Justice Reed reduced to 18 months’ reformative detention. The application to-day was based on the grounds that the sentence of reformative detention under which he is detained was' passed without jurisdiction nnd consequently, the warrant detaining him had been issued also without jurisdiction. Mr Lloyd Wilson nnd Mr Rollins are appearing for the prisoner and Mr Evans Seott for the Crown.
