AMATEUR ATHLETICS.

KIA TOA CLUB. The Ivia Toa Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club held a number of events at the Sportsground last evening. Results were as follow:—7s yards: Jackson (If yds) 1, Claridge (6yds) 2, Dynes (4yds) 3 ; time Bsec. 100 yards: Dynes (7yds) 1, Claridge (9yds) 2, Jackson (2yds) 3; time 10 3-ssec. 880 yards: Kilpatrick (35yds) 1, Cowling (35yds) 2, Dobson (90yds) 3; time 2.4. Boys’ race: A. Johnston 1, B. Murphy 2, C. Ward 3. The programme for the club’s meeting next Wednesday is: —22o yards and 1 mile, relay (4 each 110yds), cycling, 1 mile and 3 miles. The boys’ race is the first of a series of races for a medal donated by Mr G. Farrar and is open to all of the age of 16 years and under.
