SINGING SCHOLARSHIPS.

Received December 8, 1.5 p-m. SYDNEY, Dec. 8. Mr Fritz Hart, of the Melbourne Conservatorium, who is a passenger on the Aorangi for Honolulu, will arrange in Auckland the preliminaries in connection with singing scholarships under a bequest by ,Melba, to eligible pupils of Australian States and New Zealand. Awards will be made early next year of two scholarships of three years and five oi one, renewable for further terms.
