PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON. Dec. 8. The Commissioner of Police announces the following promotions and transfers :—Detective Hall (Wellington) to detective sergeant; Constable Henry (Seatoun) to be sergeant and transferred to Christchurch; Sergeant Turner (Waimate) to be seniorsergeant and transferred to New Plymouth, replacing Senior-Sergeant McCrorie, who has retired on superannuation ; Constables Ferguson (Kimbolton), Bisset (Waiuku) and E. Jones (Cambridge), promoted to sergeants and transferred to Auckland. Constable Jones was formerly stationed at Palmerston North and Marton.
