HIGHER BEER TAX.
BELGIAN WORKERS PROTEST. Received November 26, 8.45 a.m. BRUSSELS, Nov. 25. As a protest against “tho everlasting increase in the tax on beer,” Belgium breweries closed yesterday, their employees participating in a procession in which 40,000 marched the streets accompanied by seventy bands and banners blazoned with demands for cheaper beer. , Special trains and motor coaches brought country participants into the city.
