PAHIATUA. Nov. 24. Mis .T, D. C. Crewe a.nd Mrs R. .C. Austin, of Pahiatua, visited Wellington this week to attend the display of handcrafts, the work of members of Women’s Institutes from all over the Dominion. The increasing value of the horse in these days of financial stress was under discussion at one stage of a case heard in the Pahiatua Magistrate's Court yesterday. Mr G. Harold Smith raised a broad smile when he remarked : “It was an American who said : ‘When ive pet back to horses we’ll be stabilised all right’.”
