HITLER’S REQUEST REJECTED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received November 25, 2 p.m. BERLIN, Nov. 24. Marshal von Hindenburg has rejected Herr Hitler’s proposal. “I cannot give a party leader presidial powers. Such a Cabinet is bound to develop a party dictatorship and increase the tension among the people. I cannot take the responsibility for such a course before my oath and conscience.”
The Nazis accuse Marshal Hindenburg of playing an unfair game. They say ho never intended to give Herr Hitler power. ,
