FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
The half-yearly meeting of the Oroua Lodge of Druids was held on Tuesday evening, A.D. Bro. Gold presiding over a large attendance. A challenge was received for a ritual competition between the Oroua ladies’ team and the present sitting officers of Acorn Lodge and a date was arranged. for the contest. The nomination and election of officers took place, P.A.’s Bros. Ure and Hansen acting as scrutineers.
