MANAWATU CLUB’S EVENTS. The following are the results of the recent races conducted by the Manawatu Homing Pigeon Club: Christchurch flock (actual distance 260 miles from a point three miles north of Godley Heads), week ended October 29, 1932: —H. Meadows’s blue ch. pied cock (1928.7yd5. per minute), 1; P. Smith’s black cli. cock (1884.5), 2; B. Clapham’s black ch. cock (1488.01), 3 A. Marshall’s black cli. cock (1219.1), 4; A. Marshall’s black ch. cock (1219.1), 5. Christchurch yearlings (265 miles), week ended November 11, 1932: —Mr McPherson’s blue ch. hen (767.5), 1; L. Purton’s blue ch. cock (749.5), 2; A. Marshall’s black ch. pied cock (683.4), 3. A special trophy race for two-bird teams was run last week-end and resulted in one pair only having homed for which additional special points have been allotted: A. Marshall’s blue ch. hen and black ch. cock (815) 1.
