Browne (Wellington) beat D. Scarrow (Wanganui). PROFESSIONAL BOUT. WHANGAItEI, Nov. 22. Walker and Mamos drew in a wrestling bout on Monday night, each securing one fall. H. BENTON’S SUCCESS. At tire New Zealand wrestling championships at Auckland, H. Benton, of Palmerston North, 9.13)11), met A. E. Webb (Waikato) 9.2 in the second round of the lightweight class, winning by two falls to nil. In commenting upon the bout, the New Zealand Herald states that the winner’s strength gave him an advantage which Webb vainly endeavoured to counter.
