(From Our Own Correspondent.) MILSON Nov. 23. The ballot conducted by the School Committce amongst the householders to decide the advisability of holding a Christmas tree this yoar resulted in the greater number being in favour. The eommittea are now active in the matter of raising funds, the ladies’ committee asißting, Mrs W. Robson and daughter, of Foxton, are renewing acquaintances at Milson. They are the guests of Mrs 11. Dewhurst, of Cambridge Street. . Fair progress is being made with the work of lovclling and trimming the grass plots on the footpaths. The work is being carried out under the No. 5 scheme. Tho completed work will enable . householders to use their lawn mowers in keeping the plots tidy. The korbing and channelling work at the bottom of Leeds Street is now completed and the workmen are engaged doing the end of Motif real Street.
