PROGRESS OF CAPE TO LONDON FLIGHT. Received November 22, 11.20 a.m. CAPETOWN, Nov. 21. Mr Victor Smith, the young airman who is flying from Capetown to London and for whoso safety fears were expressed, came down at Dori, 500 miles from Jebba, where he was last seen at 2 a.m. on Tuesday. His compass evidently was faulty as he missed Niamey by 100 miles. DEPARTURE FROM GAO. Received November 22, 9.30 a.m. LONDON Nov. 21. Tho Shell Oil Company’s agent at Gao has cabled to Ins headquarters that Mr Victor Smith, tho airman, departed this morning. FORCED LANDING MADE. PART OF FRENCH WEST AFRICA. (British Official Wireless.) Received November 22 12.30 p.m. RUGBY,, Nov. 21. Mr Victor Smith niado a forced landing in an isolated part of French West Africa. lie was reported safe to-day.
