Seven expert advisers wore appointed to assist the Council to execute the decision.

M. Avenol (France) at present Deputy Secretary-General, will succeed Sir Eric Drummond as Secretary-Gen-eral. The Budget Committee is effecting 20 per cent, savings in tho salaries of tho Secretary-General and tho undersecretaries.
