The excavating of the Viking settlement Haithabu, on the Baltic coast near Schleswig, is to he begun immediately under the direction of Professor Schwantos, head of the Kiel Museum. ’Many interesting finds from the days of the Vikings, and also from the Bronze Age, have already been made there.
