SWEPT BY TORNADO
DISTRICT OF NEW SOUTH WALES DAMAGE AMOUNTS TO THOUSANDS,

A torpado swept through the Manilla district, causing damage amounting to thousands of pounds. Sweeping along a quarter-mile front it demolished sheds and fencing, killing a large number of poultry and livestock.
One station homestead was destroyed and others unroofed. Numerous barns, woolsheds and garages were demolished. At ICiori siding the station was smashed to pieces. Twenty telephone posts were broken and both the electric and telephone services put out of action.
