Owing to the numl>er of games to ho played and tho lateness of starting, the games were played up to only 21 points. On Thursday evening a large numt>cr of peoplo met at the local hall to play flag five-hundred. Tho gathering was organised by Mrs Straclmn in aid of the hall funds. Fifteen, tables wore occupied and one; round was played. Tho winning trio were Messrs W. Howland, H. Curtis and I>. Frawer.
