It was stated that the continuance of the British tariff on livestock would ruin tho whole of the farmers’ community and that every county in the Free State should hold meetings to enable effective measures to be adopted. A farmers’ and ratepayers’ convention will be held on September 14. NEXT MOVE MR DE VALERA’S. LONDON, Sept, 1. No immediate result is expected from the talks by tho Secretary for the Dominions with tho Irish delegates at Ottawa. The attitude of the British Government is unchanged. The next move lies with Mr de Valera.
